God's destiny setting before you!
Then Amaziah said to Amos, "Get out, you seer! Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there. Don't prophesy anymore at Bethel, because this is the king's sanctuary and the temple of the kingdom." Amos answered Amaziah, "I was neither a prophet nor a prophet's son, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees. But the Lord took me from tending the flock and said to me, 'Go, and prophesy to my people Israel.' Now then, hear the word of the Lord. You say, “‘Do not prophesy against Israel, and stop preaching against the house of Isaac'. (Amos 7:12-16) ....Prophets may resist their calling, just as Jonah did. All of Israel knew that Samuel was a prophet, because the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground (1 Samuel 3:19, 2) Graven upon the palms of God's hands! Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. (Isaiah 49:16) This is a figurative way of saying that God would never forget His people and that they would be in everlasting remembrance before Him! It was the Prophet Isaiah who brought this message, inspired by God and was speaking as God's representative Prophet, giving comfort, and assurance to a burdened soul of the Israelites! The prophet was used as a precious vessel from God! Precious for God and precious for the people who received his message! He that had an ear let him hear what God is still saying through His prophets today!
